Overview

ShingleDrop ("we," "us," or "our") operates shingledrop.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We keep it simple because we don't do anything shady with your data.

Information We Collect

We collect information you give us directly when you:

  • Place an order — name, company name, email address, phone number, and the job site address used for targeting.
  • Request a sample — name, company name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and optionally your logo.
  • Contact us by email — the contents of your message and your email address.

We do not collect payment card details directly. All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.

How We Use Your Information

  • To fulfill your order — pull target addresses, produce mailers, and coordinate USPS delivery.
  • To mail you a free sample if you requested one.
  • To send order confirmations and fulfillment updates via email.
  • To respond to questions or support requests.
  • To improve our service and operations.

We do not use your information for automated profiling, targeted advertising, or any purpose unrelated to fulfilling your order.

Homeowner Address Data

When you place an order, we pull residential mailing addresses within your chosen radius using USPS address data. This data is used solely to address and mail your ShingleDrop campaign. We do not sell, share, or retain homeowner address lists beyond what is needed to fulfill your order.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with:

  • Stripe — to process payments securely.
  • USPS / mailing partners — to fulfill and deliver your campaign.
  • Formspree — to receive and process sample request form submissions.

All third parties are bound to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.

Data Retention

We retain order information for as long as needed to fulfill your order and comply with applicable legal and financial record-keeping requirements (typically 7 years). You can request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard practices to protect your information, including HTTPS encryption on all pages and Stripe's PCI-compliant payment processing. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies necessary to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies or track you across other websites. Stripe may set cookies as part of payment processing.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information.
  • Opt out of any marketing emails (every email we send includes an unsubscribe option).

To exercise any of these rights, email us at orders@shingledrop.com.

Children's Privacy

ShingleDrop is a B2B service intended for roofing contractors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ShingleDrop after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
